I definitely feel out of place. most of the music I listen to are from the 60's or 70's but I was born in 1990, which means I missed out in just about everything and music is so important to me. I also have a lot of problems relating to kids my age, they like their video games, DS, texting etc. and I'm still lost on all that stuff. Ever try reading a 17 year old's instant message when not understanding any of that text lingo? Everything gets lost in translation. And kids these days seen to appreciate STUPIDITY and ignorance. I read a book from the nineteenth century and listen to an album from the 60's and I'm told I should snap back to reality and live in my time. It can be frustrating at times. I actually say "awesome" a lot but I also use "marvelous" which is not very 17 is it?
Smiley: I use to say far out, then I got beat up... lol. I stopped saying that pretty soon.

I love being born in the 90's I know other generations have amazing things that influenced me more than the 90's like I love old 70's music, and 50's style but I think of the other side all the wars that we missed and rights that we didn't have that we do now in some things as a society we have grown and for that I love the 90's and today.

Yes! I was born in 1991 but I wish I was born in the early 70's or early 50's so I could be a teen in either the 80's or 60's! I hate being a teen in the 00's! I love everything from the 60's and 80's! If I could go back to those times right now, I definitely would!

I was born in the 70s but I wish had been born in the 50s instead so I could have experienced the birth of rock 'n roll and been there to see bands like The Beatles, The Stones, The Doors etc.... when they were first starting out. Music was so fresh and vibrant back then not like today where looking good and having a huge ego is more important than talent. I shun today's mass, crass commercialism in favor for true bands and real artists.

Clarice, I do believe you were born in the wrong age. There are a few people like you who for whatever reasons just like many things from the 50's-70's. I for one certainly do but it's because I was born and raised in that era. This era was exploding with new talent and many positive social changes. Society is tougher today and has lost some of its identity when compared to the 50's-70's so I can easily see why you do like that period in time. Enjoy your life now but do learn about life the few years leading up to when you were born because that says a lot about us today.

The 50's seem like a cool era, but the 60's & 70's don't appeal at all. Everybody was greasy, dirty & ugly.
I enjoyed the 90's. That was my era.
I was awesome then.
