My son wants to learn how to draw Naruto characters and other anime characters. Do you know if they sell how-to drawing books in comic book stores? If not, where can I find them?

Because anime is really popular you should be able to find a small selection at any bookstore, or comic book store.
There are some stores that cater to art books more then other book stores, Here in Toronto there's a place called Laberenth (like the maze, I can't spell) that has an awesome selection.
You didn't mention the age of your son, if he's under 14-15 then a how to draw manga / anime book is a good place to start, if he really gets interested in drawing, or he's a bit older I reccomend books like, Dynamic anatomy,

dynamic figure drawing

or anything from Bridgeman or Bummus though I think his work is mainly written in German.

There are a LOT of anime books on drawing over at Barnes & Noble or Borders, look in their art section, they have a good number of different kinds.

If you have a half price bookstore near you, check there also, you can get them at quite a discount. Plus I'm sure your son has already done online searches for 'anime tutorials' via google.com?

You can try Barnes and Noble and/or Boaders in the Art section. They range from about 15 to 20 bucks. I remember seeing one book at Barnes and Noble with the whole art kit.
