G-Man (below) To attempt to claim that she was not Covert due her being stateside at the time is beneath you, or so I thought.

They wanted to humiliate her husband, who had told the Bushies that they were wrong when they said that Saddam Hussein had tried to buy yellowcake (an ingredient in nukes) from Africa. They put his wife`s life at risk, and damaged the networks she had been using. Ironically, Ms Plame was a CIA operative in the area of helping keep the USA safe from weapons of mass destruction.

Valerie Plame turned right into a knowledge analyst, no longer a covert oper agent,(bear in concepts she appointed her husband to check out nuclear sales to sadam hussein contained in the sudan, which her husband claimed there to be no evidence, of which led to his sacking

It is now clear you have no interest in the truth. Richard Armitage exposed Valerie Plaime, not the Bush administration. He admitted it. He is a known Washington gossip who leaked the name to Robert Novak.

As for Libbey he was tried and convicted of perjury not of leaking the name.

This is the last one of your questions I will answer. I used to think you were someone that actually had some morals and could be argued with in a rational manor. Thanks for proving me wrong.

she wasn't in COVERT status, she worked a desk, hadn't been COVERT for 7 years,The only charges out of it were LYING TO A GRAND JURY, It was a witch hunt to try to get something on the administration,to make the DEMS look better,as a matter of fact, the DEMS haven't passed any important legislation since they took control of Congress, they keep having WITCH HUNTS to cover their inability to accomplish any thing

DUH!!!!
Have you ever heard of a man named Richard Armitage.
Did you know that her husband was in the habit of introducing her as my CIA wife.
She was no more covert than I am and you sir have been around long enough to know it.

Did you know that the special prosecutor knew more than 2 years before he charged Scotter whom the real leaker was.

While we seldom agree on anything I have always had respect for your opinions.
Until this particular question.

It just blows the mind. I guess what they were hoping for was that everyone would take note that someone who stood up to Bush would get reprisals but at the same time Bush wouldn't have to pay the price. Well so far Bush hasn't really paid the price. Instead Libby took the rap.

She clearly had a job that required her to meet other covert agents on Foreign soil.

The BBC reported at least two death of her contacts in India have been doccumented.

she hadn't been a covert agent in something like eight years and had apparently been outed by Aldrich Ames [KGB agent].

Not to mention that the guy who did it [not Scooter Libby -- read!!] (Richard A. in the state department) was a holdover from the Clinton administration.

8-)

See. that is the thing, she wasn't covert, unless you consider sitting at a desk at the CIA covert. But hate blinds us to the simple facts of a situation or case.

Her husband was a diplomat who didn't support starting a war with Iraq and wouldn't deliver "intel" that said components for a nuclear device were being smuggled into Iraq.
