Crikey, not just me then. Thanks.

And just for info, it's not me doing the thumbs down thing, hey, does that mean I've acquired a fairy? Dust, anybody?

some people know... but most don't, it's hard to decide what you want to do for the rest of your life, its one of the most massive decisions there are!
don't feel bad if you don't know ( I don't! )

When I was 11 years old I wanted to be an Architect.
When I was 18 I did not have enough qualifications and went on to be an Architectural Technician. I did that job for 12 years and loved it. I changed jobs only because I travelled and ended up in a different country where my qualifications were not valid. I still love it and am thinking of trying to get back into it.

I am 16 and I really want to be a doctor. I have had a lot of medical problems in the past 2 years and I REALLY want to be a pediatric surgeon. In college I want to play golf though, so it might be tough to handle medical school and college golf. But I know for a fact that I want to be a doctor. My brothers were the same way and they are both doctors. My sister wanted to be a architect and she is an architect. Then my other sister and brother are still in high scool.

When I was 18 my career guidance officer told me that I would never become a radio presenter because of my 'brummie' accent. Nearly 20 years later I became involved in community radio and fulfilled my dream of 'being in radio' unfortunately a paid position has proved elusive. Still, the last 14 years have been extremely fullfilling, and I haven't totally lost that dream of paid employment in radio.

I don't know. I think I want to be a teacher but I also want to work w/ a business. I don't know though. Business scares the life out of me, you have to deal with Mathematics a lot and I don't like that. I like to do advertisments for fun though. I don't have a clue what I want to be and that scares me because in a few years I'll be going to college and won't have a clue really what I'll want to take. I don't know!!! =( I'll find out as I go along in life I guess.

Yes. They have dreams of what they want to be but sometimes, it changes because of the circumstances.

It's just what they *want* to be.
Not what they *are gonna* be.

And I don't know if I've made it.
I'm still in school LOL

I am over seven decades old and I don't have a clue about what I want to do when I grow up.

I guess the answer could be "you don't have to grow up."
