Depends on what games you like to play...
Personally, I am a PC gamer and trust me if you had a good PC that can run most games today, then you wouldn't look back at an Xbox again.
If you like first person shooter games then definitely stick with the PC...some games are meant to be played with an xbox controller and for that you can probably just buy a wireless xbox controller that works on your PC....
Overall a PC is like an xbox and a half...it's much better in my opinion and if you had a realy good one then buying an xbox would be a waste of time and money

I agree with the previous answer. PC now is more powerful as compared to x360 or PS3. That means, the hardware capabilities opens up a whole new resouce for game developers to try new stuff not possible on console.

Crysis for example. That game is only available on PC. You can't find it on xbox360.

Anyway, there are many games that is one platform specific only. Also, on PC, you use a mouse and keyboard, which is good if you're into shooter or strategy games. console such as x360 use handheld controller.

Decide base on what games you wish to play.
