how do you find the history of a house ?when was it built? if any one died here, or crimes happened here ? the usual stuff...

There are multiple sites for different things:

Your county court house will have the records on your property from the date it was first platted with all structural changes and additions, as well as who owned it, to the present.

A search in the local newspaper archives checking for news stories relative to that address and the people who lived there.

Check out old town landmarks, your local library, older members of the community, the court house, internet, and so on.. There are some great books on it.

Hi I started w/ the title search...then the previous owners names...possibly 'GOOGLE" the address and the names..and check old newspaper articles etc..
