Have the server ask the chef about the ingredients used in your choice of dish.
I have to always ask if there are peppers in my selections
from soup, appetizers and mains. I can't tell you how mant times I have ordered a dish only to send it back because it has peppers in it ( I have an allergy to peppers of any kind)

Ask a simple question and you'll get a simple answer which in this case was " Ask the Manager" If you have an allergy to nuts isn't this the best bet?
