Just to look back a bit......
If America hadn't helped us,,all you English people would be typing in German, I would be eating sushi & typing in Japanese,[ if I managed to have been born]. and 2007 would be a whole lot different than it is.
Maybe this is going to happen again?
I know all troops did their bit, but World War 2 would have been lost, if the Americans had not helped.
My New Zealand uncle was killed & all his brothers served. My Father was in the Navy, Royal Navy, but he was a kiwi.
Guess I am just getting tired of all the American Bashing!!!!!!!

Well New Zealand!! Thanks for the confidence in Americans because it seems the majority of complaints do bash America. The Russians raped Germany . The Americans stopped at the Elbe.The French took the Saar and since the deGaulle era have been anti American. Twice America has come to their aid and they treat us like dirt. Well, I have no love for Frogs ( french) so much so that I will buy none of their wines,chocolates, fashions or products. They can go to H---!!

Neilb; it was the liberals who tried for years to get involved? and the conservatives kept voting it down? Who was President before ww2,and during? I believe he was a Democrat? So if you liberals were so gung ho,what took so long? By the way you can't back up any of your drivel with verifiable facts. You did nothing but copy another nitwit that was on here last week. Its a fact that if the Japs had not attacked Pearl Harbour its unlikely that America would have joined in the war. Britain then would have the job of just defeating the Germans. What would have happened if the Russians had not been drawn in is another question.

If Bush's grandfather, Prescott, hadn't funneled American money to Hitler, Germany would have been defeated years earlier.
The Liberals in America tried join the fight to stop the spread of Fascism for years, but were voted down by the Conservatives.
Ironically, at the end of the war, many prominent Nazis were brought to the US to serve in the intelligence agency.
The Nazis played the American Conservatives against their mutual enemies in the USSR to start the Cold War.
Nixon, Reagan, Bush I and Bush II have helped to bring Fascism to the US.
