LSU rolled the dice once too many times. So many close wins, some against unranked opponents. Their defense simply is not National Championship caliber, except for Dorsey and Steltz, who both were playing hurt. They have a National Championship caliber offense, however, and they seemed to score the last few weeks when it really mattered.
Arkansas finally took that pet play, the slant away from LSU and the QB didn't adjust. I just assumed LSU was going to score, frankly, I was pleasantly surprised when they didn't.

An they still get to go to the conference championship. If they win we could see possibly USC vs. LSU in the Rose Bowl or the Fiesta Bowl depending on Oregon loosing another game and USC beating UCLA, holy crap I'm getting my tickets now.

No, they are not a bad team. The other teams in the major conferences are not as horrid as you seem to think, whether they are ranked or not. The SEC fans need to understand that about the other conferences, and not just their own.

LSU isn't bad, honestly, and that's comming from an arkansas fan. they were tough today and i had my doubts about arkansas there for a while. but you win some and you lose some, your status as a good or bad team doesn't rest on 2 losses. they had a good season.

but right now i couldn't ask for more for arkansas :D

LSU can't win big games. Plain and simple.

Sad thing is, they can still reach the Orange Bowl...

What planet are you from? Man, LSU must have stomped your team at one point for you to be so bitter. LSU kicks ***!!!!!!! Oh and don't even give me all this BS about how they don't deserve number 1. Have you even been following college football this year? It's been so out of whack for everything and every team, so don't even downplay LSU, when ultimately you know they are the best. Peace.
