i sent my computer away to get cleaned and fixed, and when we got it back it seemed to be working good, but then i downloaded a game that i had had on my computer before but it got earased when i sent it away, and when i tried to play it a notice poped up and said "wrong screen mode for Gr2d" then last night i downloaded another game but when i trien to play that one another notive poped up that said " Direct3D:CreateDevice failure" so i downloaded direct3D but it still came up with the same thing. so i figure its a problem with my graphic card, but its a problem i never had until i sent it to be fixed. what could they have done to cause this, and is there something i can do to fix it?

Easy answer is to go to the manufacturers web-site and download driver(s) from there, remember the make and model of graphic card u have installed, and what operating system u are using. Alternatively, if u r using either Windows XP or vista, go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Hardware, let this utility go through its search process, then select Graphics Cards, from the list select the manufacturer, then select the model of your Graphics card, now all you do is make the UTILITY search the internet for an updated driver for your graphics card.

Alternatively, go to www.microsoft.com, and go to the section marked Drivers - From here you can select the correct make and model for the graphics card u have installed, download it, install it. (Making sure that the version u r downloading is compatible with your windows version.)

or even go to the manufacturers web-site and go to downloads/support/updates (depending on what wording the manufacturers uses for the web-site - easiest way to find a manufacturers web-site is to use a search engine - www.Google.com/www.AltaVista/www.Ask.com for example). -AGAIN, MAKE SURE THAT THE VERSION YOU WISH TO USE IS COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR WINDOWS VERSION.

Once you have your required information entered, download and install the required DRIVER SOFTWARE.

Re install the graphic card driver from the CD it came with that should fix it. when you send it away to get cleaned up those files must have been erased. just re install the driver it should fix the problem if not then there must be something wrong with the graphic card or the PC
