My temporary restraning order was granted!!! When I go for my court date to see how long it will be in effect, do I have to prove my case or it is it usually a given. I'm concerned my my sweet talken jerk of a husband is going to come in and think he can sweet talk the judge into thinking I'm a lier and drop the charges.

If the order was orderd, then the Judge had all the evidence he needed to issue it so you wont have to prove a thing again. Its up to the assigning Judge how long he wants to issue it for based on the facts of the case so it could be 30 days to years. Your husband can try all he wants but it wont help once its issued so his best bet would be to obey it

As you have a temporary restraining order, you are going to be taken very seriously but you should continue to note any further problems you have with the jerk until such time as its all resolved. Good luck.
