There's a ton of things to do with the family. Visit Metroparks zoo and Rainforest, the USS Cod, Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Go on a tour of Malley's chocolates, go on a lunch cruise on the Nautica Queen. You don't say when you'll be going, but the Cleveland IX Center has an indoor amusement park March 21-April 13, 2008. Go to a Browns or Indians game, check out the Playhouse Square for theater tickets. All these places have web sites- too many to list. I've listed two that are interesting that kids really like-local schools take a lot of field trips to the William G Mather and NASA Glenn Center.

Top of the list includes the Science Center...it is right next to the Rock n Roll hall of fame. Also, be sure to check out the natural history museum. The art museum is beautiful, but it is currently under renovation.
The Metroparks are vast, and wonderful areas to go hiking, picnicking, dog walking, bike riding, cross country skiing, etc. Each of the reservations have childrens classes they can take. You can google the Cleveland Metroparks for tons of information on that.
Check out the house from the movie A Christmas Story... I was just there and it was very fun. www.achristmasstoryhouse.com
There is a lot to do. If you need more specific kid friendly information feel free to email me.
Have fun!!
I almost forgot to add...check out the Holiday lights at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo...it is wonderful!

Depending on the age of the children, the Cleveland Children's Museum can be fun. (more so for them not you) The other museums in the circle also have kid friendly activities, sorry our Art museum is undergoing renovations it rivals other cities like New York and Chicago when it comes to art. I don't know what time you are planning to come out but if its during baseball season, and you if you like baseball, a trip to Jacobs Field is always a great family place. We have many beautiful metro parks there is a place called Squires Castle, which is neat to check out. Of course there are the other museums to check out like the Science Center & the Rock Hall. The zoo is always a good place to go, I believe it is free to get in on Mondays. We also have a nice theatre district, you may want to check out a live performance. I hope you have a fun, safe trip.
Sincerly,

I dont live in Cleveland, But for family fun, go to a zoo, or go on a picnic on a beach (even tho its cold, you can just sit on the sand but not go near the sea), or you try going to a cute restaurant to have a good meal with the family... Or take your (girl) kids out for a manicure!
