You cannot deny the truth that many religions allow it and I do not know any religion that allows a woman to have more husbands to their liking. Centuries pass by, but injustice and ridiculous laws and ways of life remain in tact.
Any remedy?

The fact that some religion allow man to have more then one wife as in case of Muslims who can have four valid/legal wives at one time, this concept of having many wives existed even in Hindu religion before the Hindu Marriage Bill that was introduced & passed by the Indian Parliament in 1954 & it became the Hindu Marriage Act,1955.Not only the concept of polygamy i.e. having many wives at the same time existed in various Hindu societies/tribes but even Polyandry i.e. having many husbands at the same time too existed in many Indian Hindu Tribes. Toda tribe found mainly in Nilgiri Hills of South India is a classic example of where polyandry is being even now practiced. In certain parts of the Himalaya, the practice of polyandry is the singular manifestation of value-attitude system inherent in the culture as a most suitable adaptation to sustain the community through checks and controls. Polyandry, as a cultural institution is still found in various pockets in Indian Himalayas i.e., Ladakh, Lahaul & Spiti, Kangra, Sirmaur in Western Himalaya, Jaunsar Bawar in Central Himalaya and Siyang district in Eastern Himalaya. Here Polyandry is a custom by which a woman is socially permitted to have more than one husband at the same time, Children recognize more than one man as having the status of father, a woman bears legitimate children to several different fathers in succession, a legitimately married woman regularly cohabits with several man, none of whom rate as father to her children and a single legitimate husband allows other man for sexual access to his wife. In Jaunsar - Bawar forms the northern half of Dehradun District and the people living there are called the Jaunsaries. The Jaunsarie still practice polyandry, which are said to be the conse- quence of their having had a close association with the legendary Pandava brothers of the Mahabharata, who had a common wife, Draupadi.
With the economic & social development the concept of polygamy & polyandry has greatly reduced even in such societies & tribes where they were held as a custom & usage by the people of these society & tribes. Although the provision of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 section 17 clearly provides Punishment of Bigamy. - Any marriage between two Hindus solemnized after the commencement of this Act is void if at the date of such marriage either party had a husband or wife living; and the provisions of Sections 494 and 495 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) shall apply accordingly.
Hence the question of continuing such practice of polygamy or polyandry on the basis of a part of custom or usage of their tribe or society doesn't hold good to defend such an offence in the eye of law as any custom or usage which is against the public policy or offence or crime in law cannot be allowed for any purpose as a defense against such offence or crime, but the very fact such complaint against solemnizing a second marriage by an already married man or woman, having a living spouse can only be filed by the spouse of such person as clearly provided under section 198 of the Criminal Procedure Code Prosecution for offences against marriage.-
(1) No Court shall take cognizance of an offence punishable under Chapter XX of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) except upon a complaint made by some person aggrieved by the offence: Who is the living spouse of the complainant.
However those societies/tribes/groups still following this time immemorial practice of polygamy or polyandry don't want the modern legal process to interfere in their personal affairs hardly complaint for such practice. To say that why a lady can't have more husbands is possible even now is wrong as this is still being followed by many societies as I discussed above. This is a brief Socio-legal aspect of the concept of polyandry in Indian society.
As far any lady other then these groups/tribes/societies indulging in polyandy can do so if her first legal husband allows it & he doesn't file any complaint against her for such otherwise offence under the law of the land.

Oh really please dont source for remedy for this one, we really dont want more than one, one is enough for us. You just gave me a nightmare, man its difficult to handle one, imagine handling more than one shucks! As for religion matter, religion also says you should take your first wives permission before you go for another do men really follow that? In way if you see, there are some woman who actually like men to dominate them and for them this remains that a woman's duty is just to take care of house chores and children thats it, ironically they are happy and they are the one who complains majorly, I'm talking based on general aspects, either they are afraid to confront and make changes or they want someone esle to make things better for them. Though things have changed quite alot but still it will take time to take a toll, afterall rome was not built in a day. Woman should know its importance and value, its not necessary that you should have a husband to lead their life, yes its important but not so much that they forget themselves with it. We want one husband who we can love and inreturn appreciate us, who needs two or three husbands, its ridiculous and funny.

There are some matriarchal societies, few and far between albeit. For me, as a woman, it's just not an issue though. One at a time is all I can deal! And I think men in most societies are there as well. Great question.

Even men should not have more wives and spoil the greatness of married life.

Ladies have this concept in their mind, hence they never think to have more husbands. But men think that sex is main than any other relation, hence they think to have more wives.
