If they resign Andy Petite, then this is possible. Otherwise, you might have to settle for 155-7. Sorry.

Joba, Kennedy, and Hughes will probably the 3 most dominating pitchers the next few years. They all basically only pitched in the second half of the season and the Yankees had a tremendous 2nd half and closed from 13 games out to cut Bosox lead to about 2 games.

No team, even with the greatest amount of talent, cannot end up being undefeated in a 162 game season. That is probably the hardest thing to do. I do think, however, that the Yankees will go far, but they will definitely have many, many losses. The most wins a team ever had was about 116. That means that they lost 46 games.

There is no way the that any team can go 162 - 0. Even if had a team full of all-stars, it is basically impossible to win that many in a row. There has never been a team to even win 117 games. And baseball have been going on for about 120 years and that is the most that has ever been won. Sorry to disapoint you, but it highly unlikey that a team will ever go 162 -0.

The only way the NY Yankees are going undefeated next year, is if they resurrect the 1927 NY Yankees. Then they will be 162-0 in regular season and 11-0 in post season.

I find it funny that like 3 players on the yanks , such as A-rod , rivera, and clemons last yr made pretty much the same money as the entire floria marlins team, yet flordia has won more ws in the past 5 yrs than the Yanks
but the yanks wil win around 90 games, and A-rod will choke in the playoffs, until he proves anyone otherwise they wont go anywhere

During the season no way.
A team can go undefeated in the playoffs and sweep the world series. That would be better than winning 162 and lose in the first round.

Well if the Yankees think they are going to trade and get Santana. The Yanks will have to involve Joba and Hughes before the Twins even talk to the Yankees. Even if the Yankees had the AL All Stars NO the wouldn't win every game.

This will never happen in baseball. There are too many teams, injuries, and games. I mean maybe winning 20 or 25 in a row is possible but not 162.

Haha your kidding right? LOL
They have a very good team and a good new coach, as usual they will make the playoffs but i doubt they will go undefeated or win the WS this year. Those are high expectations you got for the Yankees LOL

So did you get the crack out on the street or did someone get it for you?
No really to answer your question I think it is impossible to win 162 ball games, it just is not possible especially since the Yankees have to play the Tampa Bay Devil Rays which seem to all ways take it to the Yanks
I think the most wins is like 116 perhaps the Mariners. So no I do not think they can win 162
