Did you pay by paypal? If so, contact then and you may get a refund - the guy has obviously done something wrong to be kicked off!

I know a fair bit about ebay as I have a shop on the site, the jacket you bought, in the listing did it stipulate the size? If it did and that was the size you received then unfortunately you bided on the item so you are stuck with it.(unless they had a returns policy which covered items that are not the correct size etc)
If the size was listed differently to the size of the coat you received, you can take it further. Obviously as you said, the user is not registered anymore but you can file a dispute with paypal regarding your payment if you paid using that facility.

Yes, i think so.
I sold something on Ebay once and we contacted the people we sold it to and arranged when they would come and pick it up... they never came.
We checked Ebay and they were no longer a registered user so that was that.
Seeing they sent out an item in return for your money, which i presume matched the item description, i don't think there is much you can do unless they publically state that they will change any items that end up bieng the wrong size...

Not necessarily - they may simply have not paid their ebay fees. But if they have a pile of negatives, then they may have been NARU'd permanently. Resell the jacket on - you may get more for it than you paid!

If you paid through Paypal or even by cheque, get in touch with Paypal who will sort it out, but they will take a fee for doing so.

have you still got the original jacket they sent you. most traders would want that one back first. if you feel you have been done, contact ebay and they will tell you your rights.

Yep. you've been stuffed.
However, you can sell it via ebay with a correct description and get your money back....
