Galileo said two objects of different masses will fall to the earth at exactly the rate and land at the same time on Earth. This was proved in an environment that was a vacuum where there was no air resistance.This was done on the Apollo 15 moon walk with a hammer-feather drop.

When you get right down to it, nothing can be proven. To prove something, it must be tested (going to the base root meaning of prove - provare: to test). So until something happens, it cannot be proven.

There are strong likelihoods but nothing is proven in an all-emcompassing way.
