Broomstick lace. Looks like hair-pin lace. You won't have to have a pattern except how wide you want it to be and how long. It is extremely easy and very fast. Lots of room for ribbon. If you want info on this you can check my avitar and e-mail me.

There is crochet pattern central which has all sorts of free patterns you can download and print. You might need to think a little outside the box if you can't find exactly what you are looking for. Example ,any other kind of crochet and weave pattern would do even if its for a placemat as you could enlarge it to the size you want change colours and weave your ribbon through it.Other than that you can type Crochet n weave into the computer and see what comes up. Also if you make an afghan and just change the edging so that you have holes large enough for the size ribbon you are using and thread it around and tie a bow in it can be very effective as well. There are lots of things you can try.
