With house shows being performed before thousands of empty seats pretending to be fans and TV ratings flat, Jericho will be another attempt to kick-start what typically is the time for solid business numbers.

It would not make sense for Orton to drop the strap quickly or for those quick title changes between the pair. Maybe a "best of" a certain number of pin falls as main events on RAW will be planned. Then you can have each giving credibility to the feud - Orton retaining the belt by winning the decisive match of the "playoff" - and set up a long-term angle in for early 2008 if Orton-Jericho proves to be a winner.

Are you freaking kidding me? mid-card?.....feud with santino? this is CHRIS JERICHO, not carlito or cody rhodes. plus it's in his contract that he be pushed directly into a feud with orton over the title and also that he be the sole contender for the title. now i'm not sure if his contract says he must win the title, but i agree that he probably won't lose his first feud in two years, but I CAN see orton losing the title 'so early'

That also happened with:
-The Undertaker
-Shawn Michaels
-John Morrison
and many other main-eventers before them (it also happens with wrestlers in TNA).

Even if Jericho goes against Orton, Orton could still lose by DQ or just intentionally walk out of the match and get counted out. Jericho may not win, but he may technically not lose.

Not a shock at all. If the WWE was planning to put him back in the mid-card, he likely wouldn't have made a comeback with the WWE. He was also a former WWE Champion, and also unified the WWE Title and the WCW Title.

He needs to work his way up like everyone else. HHH isn't getting a shot at the Gold and he deserves it. He's working his way up again, the same should go for Jericho.

Not me, as much fans as he got from the Save_Us thing. I pretty much expected it. Though a couple of matches would have been better.
