I found a very good resource for the environmental proposals of each of the candidates. To me John Edwards has the best thought out plan and has been endorsed by Friends of the Earth.

Environmentalism has been taken over by the socialists. Anyone who isn't a socialist is smeared by saying they want to destroy the earth, destroy the environment, blah, blah, blah.
Humans have learned how to use natural resources to our advantage, to make life easier and longer for us. We can learn how to use our resources in a responsible manner, without resorting to some socialist government controlling our lives. This is why socialists embrace environmentalism, it is a way to control people, the environment is a secondary issue.

Al Gore is the best candidate in addressing the environment because of his fight against global warming that earned him an Oscars Award. However, taking into consideration the overall evaluation, it is Hillary Clinton who has addressed most the issues besetting the US.

The candidates have a environmental policy? That costs money and the US don't have any of that. Just put your head in the sand and pretend climate change isn't happening.
