i follow the instructions but i do tend to stay if i think it will be better my way .... :)

Usually I totally ignore the manufacturer's instructions unless assembly is required or the operation of something is pretty complicated. It's much more fun to try to guess which buttons to push, what's going on.

No, I try to figure it out on my own first...then when that fails I follow the instructions...lol

Seeing as most instructions are in Japanese or Swedish it's whatever I think goes.
