I have an Acer Aspire 3050 that has a 14.1'' screen that is shattered. Well I found a 14.1'' screen on ebay that came out of a Gateway 5150. Would it still work in my Acer even though it is from a Gateway??

Please no advise on buying from ebay, just wondering if the screen would work. Thank you :)

Probably not.

It could have a different pinout and might not even fit into the lid of your laptop.

You really need to go back to the manufacturer to get it fixed and it might not be worth it compared to the price of a new laptop.

YES By replacing the screen, a notebook user can save an average of $700 per breakage incident based on the 2006 average cost of a new notebook computer

Go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry's or one of the electronic stores that offer services for computers. DON'T TRY TO PUT IT IN YOURSELF!!!!!! You could come in contact with mercury if the lightbulb is broken. I have no clue if the screen is compatable.
