Sadly ... yes. But I doubt there is a soul alive that hasn't had it happen at one time or another to some degree. I am actually grateful for those times in the long run ... they make me stronger in the end and help me to learn how to NOT make those same mistakes again, so that eventually, I will be able to truly love the man I was meant to love.

We can't regret love - ever. At the time we had it ... it was exactly what we wanted no matter how it ended up. We learn from it and move on ... that much closer to our dream.

Heartbreak or not ... love always makes you a better person ... and it is never a waste of time.

Peace and love to you.

Not in a romantic way, but I may have broken my mother's heart. When she was dying she asked me why I hated her so when I moved her too quickly and it made her cancer hurt. Plus just being me I probably broke her heart not being as smart, as social, as talented, as into the military as she was. Just being kind of overall worthless when she was so much higher a kind of human being in the brains and talent departments.

I had my heart utterly shattered by a man, he went off with my best friend whilst I was very unwell and then proceeded to tell me I was making it up so therefore they were justified. I never knew which one of them was worse really, her because she genuinely knew I was ill or him for willingly believing her and sleeping with him.

Probably her, she left her diary for me to find, she was pretty much a lunatic and it seems she'd been waiting for her chance.
