The manufacturer should be able to tell you where to get one.

Don't buy anything that the manufacturer hasn't recommended, it's not worth destroying your laptop with aftermarket junk.

Use your search engine and put in the model number or the part number of the power converter. You will get results showing web sites that sell the exact model number. Now you can price shop and get the best deal. Good luck and happy computing.

All manufacturers have an 800 phone number (or at least a free number) you can call to order stuff. Just Google Compaq and you should be able to find their toll-free number.
