Yes, when I left my husband and came home with 3 young children. I felt like I let my family down. They could not understand why I left. I was very unhappy, but I went to work, and put my priority on my children.

That was over 17 years ago, my children are grown, well adjusted. I made the right decision and I never regretted it.

Take it a day at a time. Things do get better, take it from me.

I was depressed after the divorce that ended my first marriage. She had cheated on me with a guy I knew , in my own house in my bed one night I was working all night. I came home 7 hours early, on purpose & caught them ! I was depressed for quite a while. I went to the doctor & told him how I felt & he worked with to get me on the right medication, which I'm still on. It has enabled me to function & I use the medication the way he said & I'm a lot better. So, there is help, if you just go get it. It's hard to do sometimes, but doable.

I used to be manic depressive , the LORD delivered me from that without drugs or doctors. You have to learn to think differently before you act differently and when you do that you will "feel" differently.
It isnt a "disease" and drugs do NOT cure it.the dont even treat it well.
It is a mind set or demonic possession at worst.
My mom was manic depressive and the drugs only made her sleep and want another pill, same with my sister, so I knew drugs were not the answer. If you want to know more just e-mail me at joe_fleeman@yahoo.com

One year ago today, I was in the hospital due to depression. I hope to never go through that again. I feel that if anyone ever feels their self going through this, see a Dr.!

Yes, after my mum died I gave up on life, I cried every time I was alone, I even cried walking down the street. Life without her seemed pointless, after several months and several dreams about her telling me everything was ok I finally managed to see that she put me here to live and that is what I need to do now, so I smiled and got on with life knowing that I have the most precious angel I could have ever wished for, she is with me when I need her, she comes to me in my dreams and she is looking after me every step of the way. One day we will be reunited but that was her time to be reunited with her own mother.

Yes. I've been extremely depressed to where I've thought about suicide and I didn't have a care in the world.

Oh yes. I go to a shrink it helps because you can talk about whatever however without being worried about things being repeated. It also depends on how long someones been depressed and why.

Yes. I just tried to keep myself busy and tried to avoid the thing that made me depressed. Unfortunately I couldn't (my math class). It also helped to cry. Keeping those feelings locked up inside of you I think is bad for your health. Good luck and Happy Holidays! ;)

Yes,I've suffered from depression all of my life.

I've tried meds over the years, but they just made me feel worse.

What's worked best for me,is seeing a therapist on a regular basis. It's someone to talk to,and they help you understand your behavioral patterns.
