As a top contibutor in Religion and Spirituality you certainly should be aware of the dangers of sterotyping; while a sterotype may be correct in a majority of cases its the minority who do not fit the sterotype that could end up getting hurt by the perception and at times even injustice.

There is almost always some truth to stereotypes. I do think, however, that some stereotypes are have been blown out of proportion and have much less truth than many people think.
Like I said, most of the time, there is at least a little bit of truth to stereotypes. But I think the problem begins when people start judging others and making assumptions about people based on stereotypes, like if you automatically assume I'm going to do something or act in a certain way because of my ethnicity, gender, or whatever.

Not all tables have four legs, and not all tables are rectangular or square. Let me show you some of these funky tables I've seen in Beverly Hills shops or on Melrose Blvd in the Los Angeles area.
Stereotypes are an attempt to blanket categorize or label something because we're far to lazy to recognize individuality. That takes far too much effort, thought and caring.
I can't believe a top contributor would be asking this type of question.
