Ok so with the rise of the EU the US will no longer be a superpower 10 years from now.....in fact a popular book was publish calling this sentury the european century. With future members coming in like Turkey and maybe even Russia on topof others it would be a good idea to start doing the same.
The EU has 1.6 Trillion dollars more in terms of GPD and 150 million more people as well....translating this if russia and the other countries join the EU if war started we would loose.
China is coming from the bottom and is aiming stright for the top, is GPD is 11 trillion while ours is 13 and the EU almost 15 and with a population over a billion there military would be one hell of a fight for us.
If the European union happends the GPD would go to 18 and population to 659 million which just means we can easily beat the EU and china at that point.
Sure Mexico is a messed up country, it can be fixed...is still the 9 richest country in the world so we can benefit.

So statistics:
US alone: GPD, 13 trillion. Population 350 million
EU: GPD 14.8 trillion, population, 460
million
China: GPD 11 Trillion, population, 1.2 Billion
Both China and the EU will be stronger than us by 2018 meaning we will be influence by them.
If the North american Union happends, which is the unification of mainly Mexico, Canada and the US...and maybe the Caribean countries
North American Union: GPD:18 trillion, population 658 million
so we would still be the dominant power, now we just have a brotherhood with 2 other country but since we are the older brother (strongest) they do what we say

I don't mean to be vague really.. the answer is all in whom you ask and what knowledge you have.
Development of the EU is actually crucial to the USA staying a superpower. Why? Because the EU has guaranteed the US Dollar will stay the trade currency. Right now the US Dollar has been threatened by countries moving to Euros. If this happens, the USA will seize to be a superpower in less than a decade.

Mexico doesnt want to join us but take over, if they join with China and Russia it can happen.Canada doesnt like us too well either.
China and Russia were doing military maneuvers together last summer.
The dollar has fell behind the euro dollar,and our economy is suffering.Get a copy of the book "the vision" by David Wilkerson
it is shocking at what has happened since he put the book out in 1973 He predicted a lot of the things that are now taking place.

thing about a UNION is that you got to open the borders, last time I was south of San Diego and in El Paso, I saw rather the other problem. NAFTA is not in the hearts and minds of the US People, is it, Ross Perot hit the nail on the head....here in Europe we are opening borders right left and centre, there are more polish plumbers now in London than in Chicago - sorry I menat in Poland... and except for a few sub-normals in the UK, we all believe that a union of people from different races is possible while celebating the differences, not throwing them into a metling pot. Sure, in my job now I need to have 3-4 langauges but its a joy not a burden, meeting different people all the time....In the EU every country has a veto for big things and the President has no power; in the US its the reverse....and our president can string a speech together in portugese, english, french (3 of the 4 most commonly spoken langauges in the world) and knows who the president of Pakistan is....

Also with China and the countries around it (East Asia) and the N.A.U (Oceania) you have your New World Order.
Besides ask American workers how great an open border with Mexico will be.

This is a most intriquing question that I have often thought about...is the U.S. on the verge of losing its military,economic and political dominance in the world? If so what,if anything, can be done from preventing this happening?
Absorbing Canada (as they affectionately fear being know as the 51 state) would probably add economic strength to the U.S. in terms of severly needed natural resources. Whether or not this could actually be done is another topic.
Alligances have changed dramatically throughout history so this concept isn't too far fetched if the U.S. and possibly Canada and Mexico (Venezula is out of the equation for awhile unless this union actually happens)also felt threatened.
In reality none of the nations would relinquish their own independence but simply would greatly increase their ties to one another.

Right, and Europe has a stellar history of not destroying itself.
So we should align with Canada and Mexico...
Why not merge with China? We could rule the entire Pacific, and someday the World!
I just don't see a super-Europe as our biggest threat.

Canada doesn't need or want this. We are a economic and natural resource superpower without the USA.Just because your economy is in the toilet, oh well just keep buying our oil!!!
