Why did they have (and as far as I know still have) 21 separation walls in Northern Ireland ?
Group pride, group jealousy, malice, envy, the evil nature inside of man.
In 1800's America, in the north, Irish Catholics were the out people in the white Protestant north. In the west, Chinese were the out people in white California - with Irish often leading attacks against them. In the south, blacks were the enemy and Chinese were allowed to join the white citizens council.
If blacks diappeared tomorrow, white racist could probably focus their hatred on the Chinese, start seeing sinister devious conspiracies to undermine America, and start believing that Asians are genetically inclined to be treacherous.

You have to realize this, here in America whites and blacks have been living together for hundreds of years, yet in other countries where all these immigrants are coming from there are hardly any blacks or whites so they are naturally prejudice against us. These people are just as prejudice against whites as they only are blacks. Why do you think they gather in ghettos where there are only their own kind. They want to exploit this country and make money here with all of the its opportunities but they dont like Americans.

"How can you possibly know how "most" black people act? That statement alone is prejudiced because you're assuming how a majority of a population behaves." -Qwerty
"What?" had a good way to respond to your comment. Anywho, I'll take my opinion on the issue...In my own experience where I live, when I go on the bus, to college, to a store, even around my home, the majority of blacks that I see are indeed obnoxious, rude, womanizing, drunks, druggies, and embrace the thug/gangsta mannerisms.
Now, I know that not all are like that. I've met and befriended those that acted like decent human beings. So people like myself, What?, and Nolo will have a pretty biased view (as we all would have. I do not believe there is a single person who is not prejudice to some degree). If you would be so kind to help us out a bit, why not come up with a word that categorizes the branch of blacks that we have described to avoid future misinterpretations?

"I dislike the way that most of them act. " <---statement from a previous answer.
How can you possibly know how "most" black people act? That statement alone is prejudiced because you're assuming how a majority of a population behaves. How would you feel if I would have said "I don't hate white people. I dislike the way that most of them act." Doesn't sound so nice the other way around, does it?
This is what I hate the most about people. People think it's okay to dislike an entire group of people based off of the examples of the few people of that group that they have witnessed. This especially sucks for ethnic groups that only have ONE stereotype, one that happens to be very negative. What if white men were judged off of the fact that most serial killers and child molesters were white? That would suck wouldn't it? This is how I feel when people say that they hate blacks because black people are criminals. It's ridiculous!
Sorry, little rant there.
Anyway, to answer your question. People hate blacks because blacks have a VERY widely-known stereotype of being thugs, criminals, and unintelligent beings. They think they are justified in hating black people because of this. The world never gets to see the good side of black people which is why we have to prove ourselves EVERY DAY that we're not walking stereotypes. It's soooo annoying!
Edit: Where's your proof that 60% of the entire black race are criminals? Or is this just something you people tell yourselves so that you don't feel as STUPID when you regurgitate your racist rants?
"So unless they have caught "everybody" who has committed a crime in your group, that percentage is actually higher."
Ah-ha! Ever think that might apply to white people as well? How many white people commit crimes and are given little to no penalties for doing so when a black person who commits the same crime is incarcerated? Do you have the statistics for that?

That question deserves a broad answer. All I can say is that it's ignorant to hate someone just because of the color of their skin. How can you hate someone you haven't even given a chance to know? Now disliking someone after getting to know them and they do something unforgivable, that's understandable but you can't hate every Black person because of what this ONE person did! That's retarded!

its just like being in high school. If the popular kids don't like someone the all the other kids won't like them either. They think its better to go with the flow than risk getting picked on yourself

Qwerty said it PERFECTLY!
I do not understand it either why some people act like they hate black people so much, and I do not care as long as they post their insults on the net and never utter them to my face.

I have never figured out why people hate!. It has always confused me. I try to treat everyone with the respect that I want for myself. I've even gone to the defense of someone when I felt they were being mistreated in a store, or at the bank. My son said someday I'll get shot for it....Maybe not!
If I get upset with someone it's because of what they did, not what race, or elision they are. If we could all just picture ourselves in the shoes of the other person, maybe we could get along.....?????
