Something nostalgic that reminds them of their childhood or teen years, which would be in the 1960s and 70s. You could get them a DVD or VHS of The Brady Bunch or Laugh-In or The Waltons or All in the Family or somesuch show, or a CD of a well-loved rock group or album or stage or film musical. (The Broadway soundtrack of Hair might be great!) You could get them a beloved movie. Do you know what their tastes in movies/film/TV are?
You could also get them a book like Go Ask Alice or The Chocolate War or Free to Be You and Me. Do you know their tastes in fiction?
You might get them talking about their favorite films, songs, TV shows, and books from their childhood and adolescence, and mine them for ideas!
Merry Christmas!

When buying a meaningful gift for a person, the best thing to do, is to think about that person for a few moments. What does he or she like to do in life? What are their hobbies? What are their interests? Do they have a vehicle? Do they have a pet? Then buy something pertaining to one of these subjects and you will be sure to please them.
Best wishes,
Hope

Baskets are a great idea; coffee baskets, perfume and body spray baskets, chocolate baskets, make up baskets, nail polish baskets.. or, you could combine them all!

Starbucks gift cards. You could do baskets of treats--fill them with teas, coffees, chocolates, cookies, etc.
