The Persian Empire including Anatolia, Egypt, Syria, Phoenicia, Judea, Gaza, Mesopotamia and portions of India. He conquered almost all of the world known to the Greeks. He was ready to turn his attention to Western Europe when he died. The only problem in answering your question is the nations then do not reflect modern nations. When I say he conquered the Persian Empire, you have to understand that was an enomous number of nations that Persia had already conquered.
