The very heavy isotopes of the periodic table have been produced by colliding heavy atoms with one another in cyclotons or linear accelerators. If you go to the periodic table in Wikipedia and click on the very heavy elements #92 through #118, you will get a description of how each of them was synthesized. (Note: click on the SYMBOL of the element to get this information).
