I have been having really bad cramps and first they were high, then I went to the washroom (#2, sorry if thats tmi) but now the cramps are lower and kind of like period cramps and i'm really scared that I might be in labour. I can't call my doctor because he rotates clinics and he is just a doctor at a number of different walk-in clinics. Should I go to the ER? Should I wait a little while first, like a couple of hours? I also feel nausious and dizzy. I don't think this is labour though, maybe i'm just in denial? I'm so confused....

I had rhythmic contractions for weeks before giving birth. I was told to take a warm bath or take a walk. I walked hours carrying a three y.o. It didn't stop the cramping contractions. Boy did I get tired, but when the delivery came it was fast and smooth.
Can you go to the local clinic and get checked? They can make sure there is no fetal distress.
Try getting warm and cozy and hopefully that will help. It could be the baby shifting positions. That can sometimes be really uncomfortable for a bit.
This could be labor. I hope you get checked.
With my first child I had a bout of crampy contractions that was exactly like labor, maybe a bit of realistic practice.

Lay down for a few minutes and see if the contractions stop.
Period like cramps are normal, and so are contractions. You'll have ones that last a long time, and come and go, and they can even be painful at times. But you shouldnt have more than 6 strong contractions in an hour.
If you were in labor you would not be able to walk around and you would be in pain, the contractions would be regular and growing in intensity.
Lay down, drink some water and see if they stop.

Cramps are normal. It's your body preparing for birth soon! I'm 34 weeks pregnant with baby #1 and am having same things. If your stomach feels like it's starting to tighten...that is a contraction. When it starts doing it every 10 minutes apart...then you def. need to go to hospital. Any spotting, blood, or a gush of wetness (water breaking) from below is a definate reason to go to the hospital. That would be an indication of labor!

You may be experiencing Braxton Hicks. Premature contractions that are getting your body ready for the real deal. If they come closer together, call the dr. But drink plenty of water ano lay down on your left side. Put a pillow between your legs also. You may be dizzy just from moving around so realax and good luck!

If you feel your tummy "tighten" those are contractions, and they could be false labor, but if you are cramping and its becoming very painful I would call the ER and see if they want you to come in, it could always be your belly growing. But I think the best thing to do, just to be sure, is to call the ER and let them know what is going on and how far along you are, and they will let you know if it sounds serious or not to them. Best of luck to you and congrats!!

Wait until these "contractions" start coming every 15 minutes and then call the ER to see if and when you should come in. More than likely if you drink some water and lay down on your side they will go away.

I think that if you're still having those pains that I would go to the ER and see what they say. By now it's been a few hours and if nothing's let up it's time to be seen so that both you and your baby boy are ok....better to be safe than sorry!

Walk around a little, or drink some water - if the cramps don't go away and intensify call your doctors service, they can direct you. And certainly if you are worried and this continues don't stay home, gets some help.

Are the pains in a pattern? Are you experiencing any bleeding, etc, with it?
If you have bleeding with the pains, go in. If not...
Try walking around, changing position, taking a shower, etc.
If the pains do have a pattern, and get closer together, then you are in labour. If not, your body's just warming up.

Probably would not hurt to go to the ER. I have never been through real labor pains, but the nausea and dizziness worries me. Good Luck!
