I use USPS for some of my shipping and there is NO FEE to set up an account and they do offer free pick up the next day.

However, they do not offer parcel post on-line...maybe someday. Only Priority, express and flat rate are on-line.

After you have made you shipping ticket (I make mine on sticky labels but you can do them on plain paper and put in a clear envelope) you can request a pickup (some restrictions)
They also have lots of free supplies you can order, boxes and such. The flat rate boxes are great.

I also use FEDEX for some of my shipping because I ship a lot of light weight long skinny boxes and they always have the best rates on them and USPS doesn't take anything over 42"(I think that it) I don't use UPS much they have gotten so high in cost. If you regisgter with FEDEX when you check rates, it will actually be a couple dollars higher than if you checkrate and do not have an account. So keep that in mind. I don't know why they do that it seem stupid to me.

That was my most difficult thing when I started eBay ....the shipping. Be sure to have everything weighted and boxed if possible. I would guess at some and I always guessed lower and lost one to 2 dollars on everything I shipped when I first started. And most boxes can weight up to 2 pounds.

If you just have a paypal account, you can ship through USPS directly through paypal shipping. It's super easy! Just go to your sold page, and when the payment goes through, just click on 'ship' and it will take you through to paypal shipping. All you need to know is the weight of your package. Just get a little scale, and you won't have to leave home to go to the p.o. Shipping Priority Mail is completely free; using First Class is only like 13 cents or so for delivery confirmation. Very easy! If you want more details, just go to ebay help and type in "shipping sold items."
