I'm looking for a really good book or series to read. I have to read 3000 pages for english by January and I haven't read much. I don't usually like fantasy, gothic, vampirish books. If you could help soon , that would be great!

All of the clique novels. Criss Cross. Song of the Sparrow (really good). And I know u said u don't like vampire books. I am 14 and I don't either. But the twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is REALLY good. It's not what you would expect from a vampire series. Its more of a romeo and juliet type thing. If I were you I would give it a try. I love the books. Plus the first one is 498 pages and it only took me 3 days to read it so it would really help with how much you have to read. Hope I could help!

I know you say you don't like gothic vampirish books but believe me I haven't met anyone that doesn't like the books I am about to tell you about. Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse all by stephenie meyer soon to be followed by the fourth coming book breaking dawn in the fall of 2008. Google them and see what you think. Plus, they are really long so you will be able to get your 3000 pages in fairly quickly. This is my favorite series of books. Good luck to ya girl!!!

Vampire books might not be your thing but Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Series isn't really vampires as you expect them to be. They don't have fangs, sleep in coffins, or turn into bats. They seem to be pretty normal except that they are inhumanly beautiful and their eyes change colors. It's a fantastic book series, I didn't want to read it at first because I thought that it would be like Dracula, but they are my favorite books ever now. And it's not gothic so you wouldn't have to worry about that. I would give them a try.
