Another departure from the ordinary! Since the role of Derek Shephard on Grey's Anatomy has been taken by someone else (and to think, I would have had great chemistry with Ellen Pompeo...), I will play Santa Claus instead. If you had three wishes for hockey, what would they be?

Moose- You would want Pronger to retire before Chris Neil or Sean Avery? In most Christmas tales, one has to have a Bumble around!

The Bumble being Pronger, of course!

Kimmy- I hope you do indeed become your team's leading scorer. Keep up the good work! :)

E- The Ghost of Christmas Future already paid MAF a visit...last season. Remember Jocelyn Thibault? That's Fleury's future in a nutshell!

Benny- One of my closest friends (in Pittsburgh, oddly enough) is a huge Bills fan, and I would like them to make the playoffs, too. The only things holding the Bills back are J.P. Losman and Dick Jauron. How Jauron manages to get coaching gig after coaching gig befuddles the mind...

Devin- Here's to Pat Burns beating the living snot out of cancer and making a full recovery! It seems as though the Devils haven't been the same since he went on medical leave.

Andrew G- The Caps will recover. Bruce Boudreau is a good coach and will do wonders for that team!

1) My hockey team to repeat as state champions this year. Back to back champs, now that look good.
2) The Panthers to make the play offs
3)Me to be the points leader on my team. I was third last year. I am defenseman so that would be a real accomplishment.
Happy Holidays to all!
EDIT: Thanks Snoop. For the well wishes and great questions! ;)

Dear Santa:

1) Hasek to stop flopping and snow angeling on routine shots. Thanksgiving was a prime example of what he doing TO the Red Wings. He stopped a routine shot from the point, right leg pad, THEN flopped and was unable to even SEE the rebound shot...top shelf, boom.

2) Better, grittier defense for Detroit in their zone. Kronwall is so soft at letting the offense get position in the crease. This is a huge problem when the offense also has the puck in Greztky's office.

3) No head, neck, knee or ankle injuries to ANYONE in the NHL due to dirty hits. Let the sin turn back on the sinner.

1. That reindeer land on Gary Bettman and squish him under their hooves.
2. That the next Canadian hockey team to win a Stanley Cup is the Vancouver Canucks.
3. That the league ditch the following two rules: the instigator rule and the shoot out. The first is destroying careers by allowing cheap shots without fear of retribution and the second, while fun to watch, has nothing to do with the game of hockey. The NHL should revert to the previous fighting rules and should adopt a European soccer point system where a team gets three for a win, one for a tie and nothing for a loss (with no overtimes) so that teams are rewarded for winning, not for playing boring hockey for 60 minutes and then being rewarded for losing as they are under the current system.

1) The Flyers learn what defense means and stop being so damned generous to forwards.

2) That no players on any team suffer a season or career ending injury.

3) That some engraver somewhere knows how to spell "Philadelphia Flyers 2007-08".

Isn't there a catch about wishes which entails that you cannot tell them, or else they don't count? ;)

Wish #1 - I'd like the Ghost of Christmas Future to visit Marc-Andre Fleury and show him just what his future holds if he continues to... not play at an acceptable level (it can't be a very bright future).

Wish #2 - I'd like to see the Pittsburgh Penguins get past the 1st round of the playoffs. I'm not going to say anything about going all the way, because I'd like to avoid any kind of jinx.

Wish #3 - I'd like to see Sidney Crosby win the Art Ross Trophy again. Of course, the team's achievements are more important to me (and to him, Sid says!) than any individual achievements, but this is kind of like a bonus wish.

Side Note: "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" is the perfect theme song for Ottawa Senator Chris Neil.

LOL, I guess Marty Brodeur and I are the only MAF fans left.
ADD: LMAO, did you hear about Sid putting on MAF's mask and his gloves in practice this week? Fleury beat him stick side! Go to the video dated "11-21-07": http://penguins.nhl.tv/team/console?type=fvod&id=849&tab=1
Psssht, Fleury's only 1 assist behind Jordan Staal...

Dearest Santa Snoop,

For the whole NHL in general, I would have to think for a while! But for me and my Sabres, I will say ...

1. Season tickets for me!
2. For the Sabres to win the Winter Classic!
3. For the Sabres to win the Stanley Cup!

I have some more for the here and now, but I don't feel like opening up any cans of worms in the midst of such a nice holiday question =) Thanks for the cool questions Snoop! *Kiss for Santa*

Dear Santa,

All I want for Christmas is:

1. Every channel on T.V. to show hockey 24/7.

2. When I am at a party, like last night, and a hostess comes over and starts talking to me about the type of chips her husband bought for the party & some "amazing" pans she bought off of the Home Shopping Network............... instead her mouth starts talking about delay of game penalties, last nights game, and the new jerseys.

3. All of the original 6 make it to the playoffs.
