The cause for a coolant leak are many. You must look and see the location of the leak. It could be the water pump, a hose, the radiator, radiator cap, the hose to the overflow reservoir, a gasket.

what engine do you have? the 3100 has a problem with the intake manifold gaskets leaking. if you get it hot then head gaskets and cracked heads can be the problem but most likely the intake gaskets. if you have the "quad 4" overhead cam engine, good luck! it is the head gasket/head. they are expensive and hard to work on. replacement engines are scarce. they have a very bad reputation. of course don't overlook the obvious, water pump, hoses, overflow container, and even the cap.
