My Grandmother passed away this week. My mom and I were very close to her. I want to give my mom a heartfelt present that would remind her of the good times all three of us spent together. I don't have any videos and I only have a few photos of all of us together. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You might want to check out www.shutterfly.com or www.kodakeasysharegallery.com. Those websites (and other similar sites) allow you to put your pictures on things like coffee mugs, flower vases, Christmas ornaments, collages, etc. Something like that might work with one of the few photos you have of the three of you together.

Are there any special memories you have of your mother and grandmother together? For example, if the three of you were always into going out for coffee together, you might consider getting your mom a nice coffee mug with a gift certificate to a coffee shop in it. Or if you were all fans of knitting (for example), maybe you could get your mom some knitting supplies.

Also, you can get a shadow box picture frame, in which you place objects, but not necessarily photos. So if you and your mother and grandmother all spent time at a beach together, for example, you could put a couple shells, some fake seaweed, and a few pebbles inside the shadow box picture frame. (I think you can use either velcro or a glue gun to affix the items into the frame.) Or if the three of you all shared a hobby, like cooking, you could put a few cooking-related objects into the shadow box picture frame (a mixing spoon, a spatula, some cinnamon sticks, etc.).

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing, and I think it's very nice of you to want to give a heartfelt present to your mom to remind her of the good times the three of you shared together.

I would recommend either taking the photos and having them reproduced and place them in a collage frame all together... or in a photo album.

my dad lost his mom... his sister had something in graved with a saying she always use to say. . . with a picture of them etched in a glass from the only photo of them.

he keeps it on his dresser . . he sees it every morning when he wakes up with her little saying etched on the holder.

sometimes you can find good stuff on 'things remembered' see link below.

You can get a throw, coffee mug, pillow case or something like that with the picture on it. There is also something out called oil painting you could look into that as well. I am sorry about your grandma.

Pick out the best photos and have them professionally framed. I think your mother would like that very much. It's important to remember the happier times.

My condolences to you and your mother.
