I love Labyrinth. I know loads of people only remember it for David Bowie's tights (a particular high point for me, I must say). But seriously, it was an amazing puppetry feat for Jim Henson and George Lucas - the most advanced of it's time in fact - and it's got a really good message to it too...
Every time I watch it I am transported back to being a little girl. Also like the animated film 'The Last Unicorn' for similar reasons. (It sound like I only watch kids stuff!!!)

I loved the film Beautiful Mind with Russell Crowe but my ALL TIME FAVOURITE is DUNE. Also I have watched Chocolat quite a bit. I like all the Lord of the Rings, plus H Potter plus a really B rate film called Reign of Fire I could go on forever. I love the soundtrack writer Thomas Newman and his music to the film Road to Perdition is really great also to Lemony Snicket.

I adored the Beach. Even bought both soundtracks and would love to visit there someday since the scenery was so beautiful.

I have a ton of favorites but the one that comes to mind is Girl Interrupted. Susanna (Winona Ryder) discovers who she is and that she doesn't have to conform just because society thinks she's a nutjob, and to appreciate everything life has to offer.

you mean the beach with Bette Middler?

that is my all time favourite movie too!!

i think i first watched it when i was around 4 or 5 years old, which is why i guess i have fallen under its power, haha

i know what you mean about , it making life worth living. it has a fresh feel to it.

hhmm.. I'm reading your question title again.. and I'm beginning to think you mean The Beach with Leo DiCaprio rather than Beach, haha, oh well ;)
