I think you got the number wrong.
It's only fourteen:
When at night I go to sleep
Fourteen angels watch do keep
Two my head are guarding
Two my feet are guiding
Two are on my right hand
Two are on my left hand
Two who warmly hold me

Two who show me when I rise
The way to heavens paradise.
The number refers to fourteen saints who hold a special place in the Catholic Church:

This is called "Prayer" and it is indeed from Hansel & Gretel by Humperdinck! You can find the sung version from "Angel Voices" by Libera as well as from "This Land Of Ours" (by Karl Jenkins) album for example.
