You can use spray adhesive, but it's a temporary repair. Find a good auto upholstery shop and pay them to replace it.

I assume that you mean the head liner. Often people just have them replaced at the body shop. I sewed mine up with a curved needle and thread. It looks posh now with a quilted affect. They sell these cheap curved specialty needle sets in the fabric and arts and crafts isles of the big department stores. I even used one to sew my leather seat and this was a great victory.

The reason the spray rubber cement products will fail is if the cloth liner was bonded to the fiberglass insulation with a very thin foam rubber material which is most often the case. This foam rubber material deteriorates and crumbles to the point of "dust" or crumbs and you can't get two clean surfaces to spray the rubber cement on so that it might grab when pushed back together.

It's worth a try but if you want it to look like new or original then the body shop it the way to go. I like my needle and thread posh quilted look on my 20 year old Cadillac.

Good Luck!

Unfortunately, the only way to fix it is to have sex on your car with a sexy woman, with big breasts, a firm vagina, tight buttocks and long, lickable, delicious legs.
This will increase bouncing on the bonnet (note: alliteration), which will eventually act as a mechanism to fit the two together. Good luck - choose your babe wisely
