Radiation is when a particle (a photon or an elemental particle -- electron, proton and suchlike) moves in a form of a wave.
The visible light, x-rays (photon) and beta radiation (electron) are examples.

When an atom (such as uranium) changes into one or more different atoms while also emitting some kind of radiation -- alfa, beta or gamma -- this ability is called radioactivity.
