Art History major... museum curator?

I want to be a museum curator. If I major in Art History and minor in Museum Studies, what should I get my Master's in and my Ph.D?? I particulary love Renaissance and 20th Century Art... help!

There are some very good master's in museum studies out there that would make your career. Look at Harvard, George Washington, and Johns Hopkins for example.

If you get your master's in art history with a concentration in museum studies then you would be able to go on to a PhD in art history.

I'm not aware of a PhD in museum studies specifically in the US. There are a few in Europe.
