Robbery, burglary and larceny are all theft. Robbery is theft from a person one on one, such as "Give me your money or I will shoot you". Burglary is theft from a dwelling or business when there is no one inside the dwelling or business. Larceny is theft by falsely taking property, usually money, that is not yours as by embezzlement or writing bad checks, etc.

Difference Between Burglary And Robbery

Theft and larceny are the same thing. Robbery includes taking something by force or threat of force, and is also considered a theft, but a much more serious crime. Burglary involves entering another home without permission with the intention of committing a crime there in. Meaning you do not have to steal anything for a burglary, for example if someone were to kick down a victim's door and beat them up, or rape them. They would be charged with burglary even though they did not intend to steal anything. They can all happen at the same time.
