Only 1 unlock per rank? (BF2)?

Why do we only get 1 unlock per rank now? It used to be 2...Was it because of the patch or something?

It was only ever 1. It's a bit different when you have expansion packs however.

I don't know, I'm pretty sure its a patch, or its just the level you are.
