For me, it depends on the content of the rest of the salad. I like cucumbers both ways in a salad. I rather have them chunks most of the time with a little sea salt and some fresh black pepper before they enter the salad but sometimes a salad with certain items just scream for sliced cucumbers!

love cucumber but hubby hates it so I have to have it in a seperate bowl sliced when we have salad - but I love chunks of it in a potato salad!

Sliced, but I actually prefer them out of a salad sliced with salt, pepper, and vinegar.

umm...slices..chunks are just kinda gross, cuz you know the person who made the salad put NO effort into making it.
