The US economy is in a nose dive, and there are many factors involved. To name a few, as some others already have: a) The "Federal reserve " is neither.
b) China is buying up as much of the US as possible.
c) The US$ is worth $.97 Cdn, where just a few months ago it was $1.25 Cdn for $1> US. It is also crashing against other currencies, notably the Euro.
d) The national debt, mainly because of the Government and the War Industry are working together against the interests of the nation, is way out of control, opening the financial door even more to foreign interests especially China.
e) A major fear now is that OPEC, will stop using the US$ and go to the Euro.
Inflation in the US is nothing compared to many countries in the world, at the moment. This could change.
I do agree with #1, however. #3 is also on target.

No one need counterfeit US currency, that is already being done by the Federal Reserve -- which is neither federal or has a reserve -- because the whole banking system is built on an upside down pyramid scheme much in the same way all those illegal pyramid schemes you see advertised on Craigslist and elsewhere.
Used to be printed notes were backed by gold and silver. No longer for a long time. The only thing that keeps the dollar afloat is the people's faith in it as well as the faith of the rest of the world. When that collapses were are a really deep, deep well of dodo.

Believe it or not, it's now a felony for the CEO of any corp to refuse to do ANYTHING except to raise the value of his corps stock. Regardless of the consequences. If that action causes the $ to drop like a stone, fine. They don't have to counterfeit more money, the government just prints more.
