03 buick century front dics brake slide pins. One is smaller dia. with rubber ring on the end. Does it go on the top or bottom position?

I usually put it on the bottom, but I don't honestly think it makes a difference cause I've seen it go both ways. as long as the pins go in smooth. Coat them lightly with SYNTHETIC brake grease.

Well, the good news is that they will only fit one way. Some have a different diameter threaded hole in the steel bracket that holds the caliper to the car. Can't mess that up unless you try to force the big pin in the small hole.

If the calipers you bought were "loaded" and had the pads and pins in place, you may have a wrong sized pin with the caliper. You can buy the stainless steel pins separately and you might compare the new aftermarket pins with the ones in the caliper.

Otherwise, just eyeball the project and see if one hole is in fact larger in the steel bracket that holds the caliper to the car and this will answer the top or bottom position.
