It is absolutely safe for people, adults or teens alike, as long as you're smart about what you do online. YES there are online predators, but there are many ways to block them if you have the sense to take those precautions.

Also, the main thing is to not add people you dont know directly. A few years ago i had two friends that went around adding as many people as possible, not caring if they knew the person or not, in a competition to see who could get the most friends. Nothing happened to either of them, but that is a perfect example of what NOT to do. If you have the brains to not act like idiots on myspace, myspace will remain a very safe and fun place for adults and teens. I have one and i have not been kidnapped, raped, murdered or harassed in any way.

It's really not all that safe for anyone...lots of creepy people on that. I only have one so I can use it to check out and friend bands...otherwise, its completely useless to me. I wish it'd go back to being a site for just music, like purevolume is. Oh well...
