its pitch black and theres a black guy standing outside my house, i aint opening the door to anyone let alone him!
he left a note saying phone this number to avoid a fine. should i tonight set up one on the internet, would he be able to tell id set up one exactly tonight?

If you drive a car do you expect to pay for petrol? Of course you do, that's how the car keeps going. Same applies with the TV. You might own the TV but you are paying the licence fee to the BBC to put programs on your TV!

You have no choice. Pay the TV licence or pay a £1000 fine. If you can afford a TV, you can afford the licence.
If you can afford internet access and a PC, you can afford a TV licence.
If you drink alcohol or smoke, you can afford a TV licence.
If there were no TV licence, there would be no BBC TV. No BBC radio. No BBC news online.
They know you haven't got a licence already. So the fine is probably on its way to you. Tough.

You have two choices - don't pay and you get fined plus you have to get a licence or you get a licence.

Since this is a form of tax you have to pay one way or another.

It cheaper to pay up - ring the TV licencing people and set up a dd over the phone.

is it really worth the stress in your life, you have a computer and internet access so set up one now, but you may still be fined its like car tax if it runs out at end of month and you do not renew until middle of next month you can still be fined even after paying for tax disc

DON'T BE INTIMIDATED!! DON'T BE INTIMIDATED!!

TELL THE TV KICENCE GUY TO GET THE HELL OFF YOUR PROPERTY!!

The TV licence guy has no authority by law to even ask to come inside your house. He has no authority at all..he is just the same as you or me. Tell him to #uck off, be straight, be strong and be firm!!!

If you are worried go to the Post Office tomorrow and get a TV licence that you pay in installments, pay a couple of installments to get them off your back then "forget" to pay the rest.

People like you get on my nerves - no one likes paying for it and not everyone agrees to it but we have to and that's that. taxes are increased each year to take into consideration losses that are made from the people who don't pay. Set up a direct Debit for one, you have to pay for it so you might as well do it now before you get fined.

If you get one now, then i believe they will leave you alone, they are only trying to get you to pay. Set it up on a DD monthly, it`s about £10 or so a month i think.
