Actually it takes a fair amount to burn off all the alcohol, however that being said there isn't a heck of a lot of vodka in the sauce to start with. I believe it is around an oz. And I am sure your daughter eats no where near one serving.

Alcohol in Cooking
Your favorite chicken casserole recipe contains ¼ cup of wine. Is it safe to eat foods that contain alcohol during pregnancy? It is probably safe to eat a food that contains alcohol if it has been baked, or simmered for at least 1 hour. During that cooking time, most of the alcohol content evaporates from the dish and what remains is the delicious flavor. Do not consume food items that are not cooked for at least one hour. Much of the alcohol content still remains in these products.

Wine, beer, and distilled spirits can add flavor, tenderness, and texture to the foods you prepare. Some of the alcohol burns off or evaporates during cooking. A flamed dish (flambé), for example, retains up to 75% of its alcohol content. On the other hand, only 35% of the alcohol remains in food that has been baked for 30 minutes. Longer cooking usually reduces the alcohol content further.
The total amount of alcohol left depends on how long the dish was cooked, the preparation method used, and the amount of distilled spirits, wine, or beer used. Since most recipes do not contain much alcohol, the amount remaining should not pose any health concerns.
Regular table wine may be more flavorful than cooking wine, which is usually high in sodium.
(If you were to make it at home I wouldn't eliminate the vodka I would just bring it to a boil in the microwave or whatever for awhile first. That way you still get the flavour of the vodka. I did this with Irish cream when I was pregnant and dying for it.)

I don't cook with alcohol but as long as it is cooked off, it shouldn't be a problem. Use less vodka then you normally would just to make sure or cook it a little longer to ensure the alcohol has been cooked out.

Well i took cooking classes and I use alcohol in a lot of my cooking. It is perfectly safe to give to kids, as soon as alcohol is heated to a certain point it leaves just the flavor. As long as it is not added when cooking is almost done it should be perfectly fine :)

I personally am an only child. My mother always seems to eat the best things I remember this from when i was little even there is just something about food and your mother that makes you happy. My mother would feed me lemons and to this day i love them. i always wanted to eat what she did and i have pictures of me eating with her and i never looked unhappy food is a form of bonding.

Congrats. Since it's you 1-yr anniversary, throw yourself a party anyway. Invite your boss. He could be the stripper inside the cake. If shots of tequila is what you want to use for the drinking q, then by all means do.

I would never give my baby anything even using white wine in it..your risking way to much
its as simple as ..make this for yourself..and make your child something else..theres no reason for her to have to eat this dish
