It's mainly because there are a heck of a lot of SEC fans on this board. I respect the SEC - it's the best in the country - but that song and dance does get old.

Great question. Nobody wants to credit the pac 10's depth but we have great schools up and down. The sec is way overrated.. people think it is so great just because of what florida did in the national championship to ohio state. People forget what USC did to a comparable Michigan team. Tennessee could win the SEC east and they lost to the 7th place team in the Pac 10. Pac 10 is the best conference in football this year.

Because SEC fans have nothing else going on, so they have to inflate how good the SEC is...

I have never heard an SEC fan ever admit they aren't the best Conference in any single year...

But yes, the PAC10 does suck... ;)

Ok, jokes aside.. the SEC is THIS YEAR, the best overall, but it isn't always... there is too much parity this year... at this point, one could easily argue that the Big12 is just as good, if not better...

The PAC10 is much improved this year, but they just can't compete top to bottom with the other major conferences...

USC and Oregon (with Dixon) are as good as anyone, Cal and ASU are good, but pretty much the rest of the PAC10 is below average...

There is just nobody in the PAC10 that can play defense against the other top teams. Sorry, but it's true.

it's because the teams in the pac-10 are worse than the teams in the SEC

because people outside of the pac-10 dont know anything about the conference. all they see of the pac-10 are highlight strips and thats it. the pac-10 isnt a weak conference, its not as good as the SEC but its better than the big-10 or any other conference right now.

The main reason is because ESPN is based out in the East Coast and since there isn't any "major" football colleges in NY,NJ,MA. their next best confrence South gets all the hype. I hope USC gets a chance at Ohio at Rose Bowl, they'll win by 30+ points, Oregon too, before Dixon got hurt. LSU wouldn't have a shot at all against USC

I don't think you need to sweat it girl. It seems to me that most fans who post in this section are either from the east or the south. Of course these passionate folks are going to defend their conferences and teams.

It's all good baby. California is where the magic happens.

Peace.

Because LSU lost to a good Kentucky team while USC lost to a whimpy Stanford team.
